In 1993, I founded Endowment Fund for the Blind to provide support for myself and other similarly visually impaired people.
Such task would be too difficult to accomplish for me alone, but luckily enough people who were willing to work with me could be found.

EFFB has become a tool to support several projects of ours.
Each project needs a strong idea, brave and tenacious co-workers, and of course sufficient funding.
The goal of our efforts is to provide severely visually impaired people with tools that will help them make use of their own effort to become as independent and useful as possible.
To do that, it is necessary to have ideas, people and funding. EFFB is a way to ensure all of this.
However, we are not looking just for funding. We also carry out projects, as money without anything else has never helped anyone. Funding is often indispensable, though, to make such projects come true.
We also carry out basic research and development of important assistive technologies in a non-profit organization BRAILCOM,o.p.s., founded by EFFB for this purpose more than 25 years ago.
We employ the results of our research and development and try to make everything balanced and self-sufficient. That is why I founded the commercial companies OUI Technology and Lava Apps that carry out the projects. The primary reason for that was to be able to offer in an efficient manner the special software that visually impaired people need.
There are projects for visually impaired people that already serve their purpose: Biblio, Speech Dispatcher, Digital Language Books and more.
There are also projects that are waiting to be carried out: Biblio for iOS and OUI.
The task of EFFB is to help make these projects come true. If you wish, you can be part of this. If you wish to make a donation, there are several ways how to do it.
